e A R T h w o r k s is both an art documentary and an environmental film, exploring the natural world through the eyes of contemporary artists.

The film focuses on three fundamental elements of life on Earth — Light, Land and Water — and examines how they inspire, shape and influence artistic creativity.

We encounter three very different artists working in three very different cultural environments: Filippo Sciascia, an Italian-born painter living and working in Bali; Nii Obodai, a photographer born and based in Ghana; and Nakajima Hiroyuki, a contemporary calligrapher living and working in Japan.

Through their art and their individual perspectives, e A R T h w o r k s invites us to look again at the natural world — and to consider our relationship with the environment from a different perspective: through art.
